The times when you can shamelessly judge someone and don't have to feel bad about it is when you're trying to find dates for your friends. :D

One What?

Not having English as the first language, some of the people like me often times cause quite a good laugh out of people. Here is one story.

A friend of mine asked people if they wanted to see the movie Wanted. With the help of my friend's rich native tongue, what came out was the movie One Tit.

This is not an April Fool's Day joke.

We All Live in One Village

The recent sex scandal of Edison Chen surly stirred up tons of responses, among which is this rather embarrassing one (for me at least) on youtube:

(might not be work safe and watching shortly before, during or after a meal is not recommended)

The above video might remind you of this one:

(Similarly, watching shortly before, during or after a meal is not recommended)

Amazing. The world is getting smaller. We all live in one village.

My Sick Little Mind

A while back I went out drinking with some people. During the course of conversation, someone mentioned the word "goatse". Of course I didn't understand what the meant. So after I went home, I searched for the images about goatse. I was shocked to see this image:
A Goatse Halloween

The reason was a friend and I made almost exact the same thing for last year's Halloween party yet either of us knew what goatse was!

What A Week

Our team worked super hard for the past seven days. To our relief, the hard work paid off and we felt pretty good about the completion of this major milestone. I worked so hard that my heart started hurting again since college. Looks like I'm getting old. One bright note is I didn't get too fat after skipping gym for a week. :)

Here's a rough record of my hours:

Christmas in Oakland - Part I

Dec. 29th, 2007 | 11:30 pm
location: Oakland
mood: calmcalm

Over all the trip down to Oakland for Christmas has been relaxing but not too productive (was planning to do some work... oh well...) It is really nice to go back after two years. Walking in San Francisco, taking BART, driving on 580, going to Fry's, having dimsum at East Sea...all those brought back the memories that have been gradually fading away. It is particularly good to feel the warmth on the California sun on my face. Maybe it is pure illusion, bay area always seems more energetic to me than Seattle. Unfortunately though, I only got to taste the sun for 3 days. For the rest of my time here, the sky is as gloomy as Seattle's.

There're two interesting things I would like to point out about this trip. The first one is that we had Chinese food for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner. One of the dishes for Christmas dinner was a whole roasted pig! It tasted quite good. Although it's a little gross to see a dead pig lying on the table with blisters on its skin and its eyeballs blankly looking at you.

The second thing is my 94-year-old grandma is still able to do sewing works. She could run a thread through the needle hole indoor under cloudy natural lighting without wearing glasses and patch up a hole on a pair of pants! Not even I can do that...

Also walked around in Castro a bit, didn't see any cute guys. Probably they all went home for the holidays.

Flying back tomorrow. Will put the links for the pictures I took in Part II.

[to be continued]

My cousin was watching a HK soap opera. the last night. I joined her for a while and rediscovered this cute guy I really liked a couple of years ago. (Well, still like him :-p)
